Understanding Computer Memory

Computer Memory is one of the most essential components that determines how smoothly a computer performs its tasks. It acts as a temporary and sometimes permanent storage area that helps the system process information quickly and efficiently. Without proper Computer Memory, even the most powerful processors cannot deliver optimal performance.

There are mainly two types of Computer Memory: Primary Memory and Secondary Memory. Primary Memory includes RAM (Random Access Memory) and ROM (Read-Only Memory). RAM is responsible for storing data temporarily while the computer is in use. It directly affects the speed and responsiveness of your device. On the other hand, ROM stores permanent instructions required for booting the system.
